Max Verstappen secured a key victory at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix with a bold overtake on pole-sitter Oscar Piastri at Turn 1. The Red Bull driver passed on the outside at Tamburello corner early in the race and maintained the lead until the finish. This marked Verstappen’s fourth win at Imola and celebrated Red Bull’s 400th Formula 1 Grand Prix victory.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri completed the podium in second and third place. Despite their strong performance throughout the weekend, they could not match Verstappen’s pace after his early pass. The race featured two safety car periods and varying pit stop strategies, but Red Bull’s advantage remained clear.

Oscar Piastri continues to lead the championship standings with a 13-point lead over teammate Lando Norris. Verstappen moved up to third overall and is now 22 points behind Piastri, rejoining the title fight. The competition among McLaren, Red Bull, and other top teams is heating up as the season progresses.

Lewis Hamilton delivered a strong comeback, moving from 12th on the grid to finish fourth. After a difficult qualifying session, Hamilton impressed fans with aggressive and skillful overtaking, securing his best result of the 2025 season for Ferrari.

Charles Leclerc also recovered well from 11th to sixth place. Ferrari faced challenges early in the race but used smart pit stop tactics to salvage points at their home Grand Prix. Both Ferrari drivers showed resilience despite a difficult start to the weekend.

The top ten finishers included Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, Alex Albon, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Isack Hadjar, and Yuki Tsunoda.
